Configuring service providers through iServer Manager

Feedback

GIS services provided by SuperMap iServer is implemented based on different types of providers, such as map service provider, data service provider, spatial analysis service provider, etc. For details, see: Introduction of Service Providers.

After logging in to iServer Manager, on Services>Provider(Set)s page, users can configure service providers, which supports Add, Modify, Delete.

Adding a service provider

Services>Provider(Set)s page lists all the existing service providers, users can add a new service provider by clicking Add service provider button.

When adding a service provider, the provider name, provider type, and some other parameters need to be specified. The service provider parameters are divided into basic parameters and advanced parameters. Those required parameters are all in the basic settings. If you want to do advanced configuration, the corresponding advanced parameters should be specified.

After choosing a service provider type, the prefix for the corresponding provider will be generated, such as the prefix "ugcMapProvider-" is for UGC map provider type. If the provider you added is a UGC data service provider, or a transportation analysis service provider, or a spatial analysis service provider, the workspace is required, and after specifying the specific workspace,  by clicking "Automatically acquire settings from workspace", default  values for those parameters, such as datasources, datasets, etc., will be shown.

For detailed parameter description, see: Parameters for Configuring Service Provider.

Modifying the configuration of a service provider

By clicking the name of a service provider, users can view and modify its configuration information. For example, if users want to modify a UGC map provider, they can change the maps to be published, path of workspace, preferred PNG cache type, whether to enable multi-thread, map buffer pool size, etc. Click Save after completing the configuration.
